Would you like fries with that Landing Page?

Would you like fries with that Landing Page?

I’m a webmaster, so I occasionally find myself after a long night of (insert crazy list of tasks – God bless the invention of browser tabs) wanting something quick and unhealthy to eat. So, like many others, I head to the local McDonalds sometimes. Not a lot, but anyway. They have the recession deal hashbrowns two for a dollar. Every time I’m there it seems there’s a big confusion as to how many hash browns I actually want. Continue Reading

Disclosure in Reviews at Walmart

I’m not sure how long they’ve been doing this (I’m not a heavy Walmart shopper), but while there today I noticed that one of the reviews had a badge letting me know the reviewer was a Walmart employee. No, I’m not talking about del.ici.ous… wait, that was deli.cio.us… or was it del.icio.us. Heh. Seriously, though, I finally got around to installing TweetDeck because I’m using Twitter more for marketing and other purposes and in a word … wow. I’m pretty amazed. A little overwhelmed too, to be honest. Looks rather intuitive so far, though. I have my accounts added. I wish there were more options for the way the info is displayed (I’m sure I just haven’t found them yet.)

My initial thoughts are very positive about this Twitter tool. I’m not sure what Twitter thinks of it officially (put that on the todo list unless some kind reader would leave the info), but I’m really liking it so far and see it as very, very useful. I’m not spamming Twitter, but this allows me to keep up to speed on Twitter – and Myspace and Facebook as well.

Social networks can become overwhelming – especially if you’re managing different accounts all at the same time. I’m sure there are other tools like this out there (leave me some good links to tools as a comment!), but for now this is way ahead of what I was doing manually in the browser.

I’ll try to post updates as I use this tool more. I may stop using it or find it more annoying than useful, but for now I’m pretty impressed. What do you think aout TweetDeck? Leave your thoughts below.
