Love that song, that lyric is great. It describes Marilyn Monroe, vulnerable. Always on the edge of being extinguished, a beauty and a lifestyle drawing in a circus of people. Elton captures her perfectly, in the end the candle went out. He did well with the song he did for Princess Diane too, and wonderful performance at her funeral.
